The newer Great Neck Plaza and Saddle Rock condos and townhomes tend toward waterproof LVP for kitchens and lower-level living areas, where the combination of slab-on-grade construction and seasonal humidity makes solid hardwood a poor fit. The older Thomaston and Great Neck village housing stock — much of it built between 1920 and 1955 — is where our refinishing crew does steady work.
